My name is Nathan Russell and I am proud to be the Principal of Oxford Crescent School.  On behalf of our tamariki, whānau, the staff and the Board of Trustees, I’d like to warmly welcome you to Oxford Crescent School.

Opening in 1953 Oxford Crescent School has a strong history within the Upper Hutt community.  

Our school's focus will be on developing active and agentic learners who are able to participate in a digital world.  We encourage students to be respectful, self-confident problem solvers who collaborate effectively with others and are able to articulate their learning. 

We provide innovative learning spaces and authentic learning experiences where students are deeply engaged and motivated in their learning. We focus on ensuring our students are resilient, value cultural diversity and have positive relationships with all.       

Hopefully, our website will answer most of your questions and alleviate any anxieties that you may have.  We have a talented team of both teaching and non-teaching staff and provide a smooth transition for any child joining our school.
